To do this in MacOS Ventura, follow these steps:

  1. On your Mac, open System Preferences and click on “Touch ID & Password.”
  2. Click on the “General” tab and turn on the option to “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac.”

On older Macs:

  1. On your Mac, open System Preferences and click on “Security & Privacy.”
  2. Click on the “General” tab and select the option to “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac.”
  3. On your Apple Watch, open the Settings app and go to “Passcode.”
  4. Enable the “Unlock with Apple Watch” option.

Once you have set up two-factor authentication and enabled the “Unlock with Apple Watch” feature, you can use your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac. Simply bring your Apple Watch close to your Mac and it will automatically unlock without requiring you to enter your password.
